In this section I summarize some dna studies flowing out of (1) autosomal testing from Ancestry.com and (2) Y-dna testing at Family Tree.

 

Samuel Falkinburg dna study

We have assumed that Samuel Falkinburg (son of John Falkinburg) was the father of Captain Samuel Falkinburg who resided in Tuckerton, NJ. Since the younger Samuel was born out of wedlock, there are no records of his birth. Using y-dna testing we were able to compare my dna to that of a male descendent of another son of John Falkinburg. An analysis of the data confirms that indeed Samuel sr. was the father of Captain Samuel. A detailed description of what we know is summarized in the linked document.

Ryder

I received notification of a DNA match from a daughter of Paul Cecil Ryder living in New Zealand, indicating a match in the range of fourth to sixth cousin. Here is the record from my DNA match results.
